About MAHA
Having established its foothold as the region’s largest and most comprehensive exhibition of its kind, MAHA 2014 is returning to showcase the latest technologies and innovations from the Agriculture, Horticulture & Agrotourism Industries.
As a biennial event, MAHA 2014 is strategically positioned to promote Malaysia as the centre of excellence in the agriculture and agro-based industries, incorporating agro-based knowledge, technology and innovation, agri-trade, agro-tourism and agri-lifestyle. Special emphasis will be given in the development of young and future agriculture entrepreneurs
The Government of Malaysia and the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry are indeed pleased to host this significant event where mindsets go beyond boundaries to create new business opportunities in the agro-food and agro-based industries. I strongly believe that MAHA 2014 will achieve a greater success.
The 11-day event is held concurrently with another high-profiled event, The Farmers, Livestock, Producers and Fishermen Day (HPPNK), which gives recognition to the agriculture communities across the country for their efforts in producing food-based materials and agricultural products for domestic needs as well as the international market.
Themed “Agrotechnology – Catalyst For Transformation”, MAHA 2014 will showcase the success of agriculture, agro-based industry and livestock from the perspective of the cutting edge technology and innovation. A special cluster, ‘MAGIC’ is specially created to showcase the latest innovations and technologies in the Malaysian agriculture.
MAHA 2014 will continue to take the lead in the region by gathering industry players and professionals from various sectors to explore and seize the opportunities from the new emerging agri –business and innovative agriculture.
In conjunction with the Visit Malaysia Year 2014, a special emphasis will also be highlighted to promote the agro tourism industry in Malaysia. In addition to the latest innovations and technologies, visitors of MAHA 2014 will have the experiential process of enjoying the colours of Malaysian culture and agricultural produce, fresh and processed food as well as agro products. Visitors will witness several demonstrations in the field of livestock, vegetables, flowers, rice, machineries and pineapples.
I strongly believe with multitude of concepts and structured comprehensive programmes, MAHA 2014 will certainly help realise the country’s vision to be more progressive, innovative and competitive in the global arena.

Objectives
Based on the initiatives to revitalise the agriculture sector and develop the ‘New Agriculture’, the objectives of MAHA 2014 are:
- To showcase the latest development of agro-food and agro-based industry in Malaysia
- To promote understanding on the future direction of agro-food and agro-based business
- To provide platform for business opportunities & development at domestic and international level
- To encourage and motivate the development of young and future generation in agro-food and agro-based industry
- To position MAHA as a trade show by attracting corporate companies participation
Where Are We
Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) is Asia's largest and most comprehensive showground and exposition facility. Owned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, it was conceived on the same platform which the Ministry has used successfully rebrand the agriculture sector as evidenced by its motto "Agriculture Is Business". This 100 hectare suite is strategically located on the northern end of Malaysia's Administration Capital, Putrajaya, midway between Kuala Lumpur International Airport and City Centre.
